Eric's show on Bob reminds me of a story. Once, I worked in this place where my main job was to heap stuff in big piles. Sounds crazy, but that was it. One day, my foreman showed up with this big machine that looked like a tractor on steroids. He said if I learned to drive it, I could heap, like, 10 times as much stuff in an hour as I could now. I said "No way, man...that thing scares me". My boss said it was ok; I'd get used to it. I said "no freaking way, dude!" By this time I was starting to shake. That's when the boss got me all calmed down, put his hand on my shoulder, and said "Don't fear the heaper." Wow. True story. Don't fear the heaper, man.

Dear Bob, I wanted to thank you for being such a great Radio Station. I liked you so much I had to write you. Until recently Bob, I used to travel a lot and drive and fly to through different cities on the east coast. While staying in my hotel I would listen to radio online. Two radio stations stood out. I would listen to these two over all others. One was Earl FM out of Knoxville, Tenn. and the other was Bob FM out of Portsmouth, VA. I was recently also thinking about getting satellite radio again. Today though I realized I don’t really need Satellite radio. As Bob FM, is better than any radio station on satellite. As long as I work and live Local, Bob FM is my radio.

This is without a doubt the best radio station I have ever come across. We differ in ages in our office and you play they types of music we can all relate to. We don't have to argue as to who gets to play their cd or cassette tape first anymore. We just put our "Knob on Bob" and leave it there all day and night. I was so happy when I found I can pick up your station at home which is 2 hours away from VA Beach. Your music makes work and housework actually kind of fun. You also have the best DJ's around - you have the pick of the litter and cream of the crop. I hope you pay them well so you keep them. I have my personal 2 favorites, but I don't want to swell heads - just keep up the great work, you definitely earn your pay.

Eric, concerning this mornings comments about the Bugles, I went to see YES AT THE Hampton Coliseum in 83, I can't remember which member of YES was in the Buggles, maybe Steve Howe……long story short they played Radio Killed the Video Star……….. By the way Poco is playing at the American Music Fest also. The last weekend festival was wonderful, talked with Clay Cook and Shawn Mullins in detail after the show……….kudos, to the Bob!

Great radio station. Why hasn't anyone been smart enough to do this format before? I own Maaco auto painting in Hampton and we put BOB-FM on the radio in the office the first day and haven't changed it yet! Everyone in the back of the shop has the knob on BOB. Keep up the good work, we'll keep listening. By the way, do you have any interest in having BOB-FM on a Legends car at Langley Speedway? I'd love to work something out. I’ve been in bands and listened to radio in this town (Va Beach) for almost 40 years and this is the radio station I’ve been waiting for. The inmates are running the asylum and it’s great. All I can say is "THANKS" Bob for coming to Hampton Roads! How great to hear Eric Worden and Johnny Crook from the "other station" that was replaced by a country format. What an awesome variety of music. You must have a cajillion CD's in your library. I am totally amazed that I can hear a song that makes me flashback to high school (80's) and then hear one of my most favorite songs "Piano Man" then jam to Love Shack with the B52's. I've lived in Connecticut, St Louis, Maryland and here in Tidewater for many years now. Never have I listened to a station with this kind of innovative programming. I just found you on the "knob" over the weekend and this station has lifted my spirits too many times to count in just the last few days. And as they used to say in the 80's "it's totally radical dude" and I LOVE IT! Please stay on the airways to infinity and beyond. Thanks for making my days soooo much better. Peace.

BOB-FM is the best radio station to hit this area since K94 in the 70's. Absolutely brilliant format...it certainly appeals to us that are tired of hearing the same old songs over and over as it flies in the face of the normal industry-dictated programming. CAN IT BE TRUE? I am amazed that someone grew some and did this type of radio station. The "Is that you Bob?" contest is great too! I'd say rock on..... but that does not apply to all the music, so how about JAM ON!!!!!! We listen at work everyday and although on my way to work it fades (Lynnhaven area in Va Beach) ... I still listen anyways. This station really helps me get the house cleaned up quick too on my rainy or lazy days..... no adjusting of "the KNOB" needed at all.

Bob -- You're the greatest! I went for about a year trying to find a radio station that I liked after we lost The Coast. There was NOTHING out there that I liked. I got this really fuzzy signal at 106.1 and even thought I heard Eric Worden, but out here in the county, I only got static. It was nothing but a tease. I kept pushing the 93.7 button in my car just in case it was all a bad dream. Then one day, I pushed the button, and it was back! (sort of) I get the Coast music and more. And even my favorite DJ was back -- Eric Worden! How great is that? So thanks, Bob. Please don't ever make me have to push my radio buttons again. By the way, I travel with my job quite a bit, and I found Dave in Atlanta a couple of months ago and Jack in Kansas City last week. No doubt about it they're Bob's brothers or cousins, or something.=)

I would like to take this opportuntiy to thank you for the music you guys pump out. im the type of guy who like a little bit of everything and that what you give me. i first heard BOB FM on my way to my grandfathers funeral about 2 months ago. your music both upbeat and inspirational help me get through that day. sadly i must say i wish you guys were closer to were i live. im about 20 miles south of richmond and it kinda hard to hear you guys in certain areas. but the static doesnt bother me that much. my wife has a cousin who lives in newport news that we often visit, and we always have the car radio on BOB FM when we go down there.
