Hey, this is morning guy Eric Worden. I know this is where I'm supposed
to write a little something about myself, but YOU are the one I really
want to profile! Man, thanks for all the support over the years. Before
you know it, I will have spent 20 great radio years here in Hampton
Roads. Lots of people come and go in this biz, and I know I'd be outta
here without all of YOU, so THANKS!
About me? Love being a dad. It's my favorite thing. Three special
kids...two boys and a beautiful girl...help give me my ultimate purpose
in life. Andrew, Peyton and Colby rock my world even more than the
music that also fills my life with joy. We love to laugh, snowboard,
play tennis and go to movies. All three of them are also killer at
Karaoke...especially Drew. Creating art is an integral part of my life
too. Mixed media and vibrant colors are inspiring. I call it gameworden
art. I also write poetry and music, including educational tunes for kids
through a program I helped put together called Magic-The State of the
Arts. I'm also a thrift-hound. I LOVE supporting thrift shops,
especially those like Hope House Foundation Thrift, Goodwill and the
DAV. Faith-based and charitable thrifts help our community so much, so
support them with your donations! I might end up with your lava lamp!
Just behind the gift of children is the gift of voice. I couldn't do
what I do without it! You are probably saying, "Duh!" but it doesn't end
at the Bob-FM studio door. I also am a "voice-actor" lending my voice to
radio and television commercials, network narrations and websites all
over the globe. As part of the talent pool at Studio Center Total Audio,
I have been blessed with national gigs for Disney, Mattel, Budweiser,
Arby's, Orajel and Trojan. Yes, you heard that right. I have narrated
for several cable channels, including Discovery, History, Science and
Travel Channel. I even got to host a 12-episode season of "Dangerous
Drives" for the Speed Network. Keep your ears on! You just might hear
your morning pal Eric wherever you go!
Hey, drop me a line some time eric@937bobfm.com. I'd love to hear from you!
Gotta go get ready for another stellar 9@9. THANKS for turning your KNOB
to BOB!
